Hannover Fist

Their name a pun in the expression ‘hand more than fist’, this hard rock group was shaped in the mid-80s and brought together many veterans from the Canadian steel scene, namely Frank Zrione (vocals), George Bernhardt (guitars), Chris Brockway (guitars), David Applin (bass) and Kim Hunt (drums). Bernhardt was the best-known from the associates, having formerly attained considerable success dealing with Lee Aaron. Agreed upon to MCA Information in 1985, the group’s self-titled debut was intensely promoted with the label, who certainly regretted their expenditure in the group if they split up before a helping tour could possibly be finalized. Hannover Fist was hence removed within weeks of its discharge, despite strong testimonials for its elaborate, April Wines -derived style.
