Hammer

Bay Region groove-rock combo Hammer comprised vocalist John DeRoberts, guitarist Jack port O’Brien, bassist Richie McBride, keyboardist Norman Landsberg, and drummer John Guerin. Produced in 1969, the group was quickly agreed upon by renowned promoter Costs Graham to his fledgling SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Information label — their self-titled debut LP made an appearance in 1970, backed by some high-profile opening schedules at Graham’s Fillmore locations. Despite strong vital notices, Hammer didn’t earn much industrial attention, and even though a second record was recorded, it had been never released as well as the music group dissolved. While Landsberg afterwards collaborated using the Pointer Sisters, Guerin continued to co-found the pioneering fusion device L.A. Express — a prolific program drummer, he also performed on Joni Mitchell’s seminal Courtroom and Spark as well as the Hissing of Summer months Lawns sessions.
