Hambone Willie Newbern

Little is well known approximately blues songster Hambone Willie Newbern; only half-dozen edges comprise the amount of his documented legacy, but among those six may be the first-ever rendition from the immortal Delta basic “Move and Tumble Blues.” Apparently delivered in 1899, he initial began to create a name for himself within the Brownsville, TN region, where he performed nation dances and seafood fries together with Yank Rachell; afterwards, for the Mississippi medication present circuit, he mentored Sleepy John Estes (from whom a lot of the known information regarding Newbern originated).
