Halfway to Risk is a rock-influenced nation duo featuring Chad Warrix about vocals, acoustic guitar, and mandolin and David Tolliver about vocals and acoustic guitar. Warrix and Tolliver both was raised in small cities in southeastern Kentucky, and loved remarkably related lives — these were elevated in working-class family members, experienced big sisters, loved sports activities, and would frequently make the visit to Risk, KY, that was big plenty of to have concert halls, places to get beer, and locations for live music. Despite living 50 kilometers aside, Warrix and Tolliver became close friends after often operating into each other in Risk. Tolliver was launched to music as a kid, performing along with his family’s performing group, while Warrix began writing and performing his own tunes having a rock-band in senior high school. The two had been reacquainted if they relocated to Nashville — Warrix in 1996 when he enrolled at Belmont University or college, and Tolliver in 1998 — even though Warrix didn’t plan to make a profession out of carrying out music, he and Tolliver started performing collectively at celebrations and discovered that they had related tastes and affects. With time, Warrix and Tolliver started writing materials that mixed their flavor for both hard-edged rock and roll & move and heartfelt nation story-songs, plus they began producing the rounds of Nashville night clubs. In 2006, Halfway to Threat got their big break if they had been invited to become listed on Beliefs Hill and Tim McGraw on the Soul2Spirit concert tour, plus they agreed upon a cope with Mercury Information. Their tune “Daisy” became popular on nation radio, and their self-titled debut record premiered in the summertime of 2007.
