Haken

Shaped in 2007 by To-Mera guitarist and keyboardist Richard Henshall, Haken certainly are a full-fledged contemporary progressive rock-band hailing from London, England. Carrying out a few preliminary lineup shuffles as well as the release of the demonstration in 2008, the group’s employees settled to add vocalist Ross Jennings, guitarist Charlie Griffiths (of Linear Sphere), keyboardist Diego Tejeida, bassist Thomas MacLean (also of To-Mera), and drummer Ray Hearne. On the effectiveness of their first demonstration and some weighty touring, they authorized with Sensory Information this year 2010 release a their debut, an idea album known as Aquarius. Mixing prog-metal with affects from 70’s artwork rock giants previous (Genesis, Kansas, etc.) and more sophisticated types (Porcupine Tree, Opeth), they quickly adopted up with Visions, in Oct 2011. Haken’s third recording, The Mountain, found its way to 2013 via Inside Out Music and will be the final to feature bassist Thomas MacLean. His alternative, American bassist Conner Green, arrived on board with time to record 2014’s Repair EP which included several reworked variations of songs using their 2008 demonstration. Meanwhile, writing got already begun for his or her fourth full-length made by longtime collaborator Jens Bogren. Inside Out released the pre-release solitary “Start” in March 2016, accompanied by another, “The Endless Knot,” in early Apr. The completed recording, Affinity, premiered at month’s end through the band’s Western tour.
