The conductor from the Moroccan Radio and Television (RTM) orchestra since 1988, Haj Mohamed Toud is a professional of Arabo-Andalusian music. A disciple of Moulay Ahmed Loukili, RTM Orchestra movie director from 1953 until 1988, Toud caused Loukili on his six-CD masterpiece, Nuba Al’Ushshaq, completing rehearsals a couple weeks before Loukili’s loss of life. The six-and-half-hour epic includes the five rhythmic levels and melodic settings from the 47 san’a that define Moroccan traditional music. The kid of the theologian, Toud was trained the artwork of Koranic performing as a young child.
