After 3 years of collaborating using the seminal hardcore band Mohinder, the indie-driveen guitar noise of Calm and a short stint using the electronic pop of Duster, singer/ guitarist Albert Menduno wished to try different things. Answering towards the traditional rock noises of Led Zeppelin, Credence Clearwater Revival as well as the Rolling Rocks, Menduno stripped right down to the traditional rock fundamentals of Haelah. Along with drummer Hutch Harris and bassist Kathy Foster, the music group released two singles in 1997 thanks to Tree Information; one becoming “The Parrots” EP as the additional stocks a seven-inch record with Aspera Advertisement Astra. Carrying out a tour to get both these singles, Menduno parted methods with Haelah by relocating to Chicago where he ultimately started the main one guy ensemble of A-Set. But with Harris and Foster staying using the Haelah name, both shifted to Portland, Oregon and released their third solitary “Seasonal Requirements” in 1998.
