H.E.R., Vol. 1, released for loading so that as a download that Sept, was a seven-track EP of downcast post-breakup materials, mainly ballads, that sounded susceptible and assured simultaneously. Advertising was limited, but labelmates Alicia Tips and Bryson Tiller helped pass on the term through social media marketing. Among the choices was a cover of Drake’s “Jungle.”
