H.C. Robbins Landon

Howard Chandler Robbins Landon was a musicologist, given birth to in Boston, MA. He discovered his calling whenever a music instructor played a documenting of Haydn’s Symphony No. 93 for him. Upon learning that there have been 104 symphonies, an astonished Robbins Landon decided he would turn into a Haydn scholar to understand all he could concerning this composer. Robbins Landon produced many radio and tv applications for the BBC and various other networks, performing a lot of the popularizing of traditional music that Kenneth Clark got done for artwork. In 1992, Robbins Landon was the receiver of the Ernst von Siemens Music Award. He resided in France within the last many years of his life.
