Gwenmars

Birmingham, AL-native Mike Thrasher left for LA in the first ’90s, starting up with John Boutin (drummer) and Matt Westfield (bass) to create Gwenmars in 1995. The trio designed their very own guitar-driven alterna-rock in the influences from the Treat and Echo & the Bunnymen, that was quite recognizable in Thrasher’s shimmying pop melodies. The music group also discovered themselves a major-label cope with Hollywood Information after just playing three gigs as well as the debut full-length Magnosheen was released the same calendar year. Travels with Catherine Steering wheel and Filter implemented, however the support from Hollywood dwindled as well as the noises of Gwenmars vanished. The music group finally resurfaced six years afterwards with a fresh agreement with Dave Sardy’s SeeThru Broadcasting label as well as the sophomore effort Generating a Million.
