Guppyboy formed simply because an airy and generally gentle indie pop group using a hint of psychedelic Elephant 6 affects in Burlington, VT, in 1992. Consisting mainly of guitarist/vocalist Christopher Ziter, organist/vocalist Sasha Bell, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Zach Ward, guitarist Jeff Baron, and guitarist Michael Barrett, the music group endured different lineup adjustments during its short tenure. The band’s only full-length discharge was 1997’s Jeffersonville on Sudden Pity Records. Two vinyl fabric singles had been also released, like the band’s debut, Shee, in 1994, and 1997’s three-song York one.
