Led by guitarists/vocalists Dylan Sharp and Caroline Keith, Gun Clothing began their job playing sort of amalgam of ’80s post-punk and fuzzy lo-fi guitar rock and roll that fell somewhere within the first catalogs of SST Documents (Hüsker Dü, Dinosaur Jr.) and K Information (Beat Occurring). They created in 2007 in Olympia, Washington, and originally toured like a trio with drummer Reuben Storey (no bassist), liberating their debut EP in 2008 on L.A. indie label Post Present Moderate. Their 1st full-length, Dim Light, adopted a year later on and their dueling young man/lady vocals and loud textures drew evaluations to early Sonic Youngsters. By enough time that they had released their third LP, 2012’s Hard DECREASING, a far more pastoral strategy with undercurrents of folk as well as country started to emerge within their audio. That same 12 months, they remaining the Pacific Northwest and relocated to LA, adding bassist Adam Payne on the way. Putting your signature on with North Carolinian indie Heaven of Bachelors, Weapon Clothing released their most understated record however, 2015’s Dream AROUND. It was adopted only five months later on from the five-song EP Two Method Player.
