Guillaume Morlaye

Morlaye was a performer for the lute and a composer and music editor. He also performed your guitar and viol and transcribed and made up functions for the previous device. Though he was involved with several enterpises he imprinted functions for his instructor, Ripa, including intablatures for the spinet and acoustic guitar. Fezandat stood the expenses of printing 1200 copies of music so long as Morlaye decided to redact and right the proofs before printing. Collectively they imprinted three acoustic guitar books, four lute books and two choices of four component psalms. Morlaye was lauded, musically, for his tone of voice and playing capability. The styles of his intablatures included fantasies, transcripted chansons, frottolas, madrigals and motets. Additional functions included the transcription of several dance types.
