Gucci Staff was perhaps one of the most prolific and crucial Miami booty-bass groupings through the ’80s and early ’90s; when all was stated and done, that they had released five studio room albums and one compilation. Each studio room record was released in the group’s very own label. They debuted using a self-titled record in 1983 and implemented it with 1989’s What Period COULD IT BE? It’s Gucci Period, 1990’s G4 and 1991’s So Def, So Clean, So Stupid and Everybody Desires Some. (From the next record on, the group was officially known as Gucci Staff II.) Through the entire years, the group remained accurate to Miami’s legacy of flourishing 808 drums and party designs, but they had been hardly ever quite as raunchy (or powerful) as 2 Live Team.
