Miami electronic duo GTA (“MEMORIES Ahead”) operate beneath the mantra “loss of life to styles.” While their brand is obviously rooted in dance, their numerous affects imbue their music with tastes which range from jazz to hip-hop and metallic to ska. This year 2010, the DJ set — Julio Mejia and Matt Vehicle Toth — fulfilled over social media marketing and made a decision to collaborate. Both was raised with significant Latin music impact (Mejia is usually Honduran and Vehicle Toth is usually Cuban), making customs like salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton a typical thread because they started generating beats at Miami Dade University. Early support from Afrojack and Laidback Luke resulted in use Diplo, who included their monitor “MANEUVER AROUND” on his 2012 Express Yourself EP. They continued to tour with Rihanna, Tiësto, and Calvin Harris, further growing their viewers. By 2015, high-profile collaborations with Skrillex (“Crimson Lip area” remix), Martin Solveig (“Intoxicated”), and A-Trak (“Landline”) complemented their very own DTG EP series. GTA released their debut LP in past due 2016. MEMORIES Forward (Warner Bros.) highlighted guest performances by Vince Staples, Iamsu!, and Tinashe.
