Group Therapy

This New York-based quintet featured Ray Kennedy (vocals), Art Del Gudico (guitar), Jerry Guida (organ), Tommy Burns (drums) and Michael Lamont (drums). The music group’s debut recording largely made up of modern strikes, notably ‘Hey Joe’, ‘Morning hours Dew’ and ‘Arrive Observe About Me’. An unfamiliar quantity if they backed Moby Grape on a short UK tour in 1968, Group Therapy impressed viewers with their fascinating, soul-based stage take action. The recording, retitled You’re LOOKING FOR…Group Therapy was belatedly issued within the wake of the curiosity, but although their edition of ‘River Deep – Hill Large’ garnered curiosity when issued while an individual, the set didn’t emulate its corresponding in-concert strength. The band split without attaining their potential, although Kennedy later on secured success like a vocalist and songwriter.
