Hip-hop duo Lil’ Dap and Melachi — collectively referred to as Group Residential — surfaced in 1995 on the compilation called Guru Presents Sick Kids Records, that was released around once as their debut album, Livin’ Resistant. Regardless of Guru’s championing the duo, Group House remained silent for a couple years, finally reappearing in 1999 using the record A Rip for the Ghetto, which highlighted cameos from Master, Steph Lova, as well as the Jerky Boys.
