Groovopolis

Guitarist Chris Cortez spent the 80’s and 90’s primarily like a sideman, accompanying music artists as diverse as Herbie Mann and Lou Rawls. But mainly because a composer, he was an extremely praised secret, frequently getting more crucial recognition than other things. But after liberating many solo CDs, he come up with Groovopolis, a cooperation featuring trumpet participant Jay Webb, bassist Lenny DiMartino, keyboardist Dan Fransen, and drummer Jeff Mills. Growing on their affects and giving performers like Cab Calloway and Sunlight Ra an upgrade via psychedelic rock and roll and acidity jazz, Groovopolis still were able to art a rhythmic and catchy audio that offered many of these numerous flourishes without investing in any one particular genre.
