Nashville-based Religious rap group Grits (an acronym for “Grammatical Revolution within the Spirit”) includes Teron “Bonafide” Carter and Stacy “Coffee” Jones, who debuted in 1995 with Mental Releases. Elements of Seven adopted in 1997 (around the dc Talk-associated label Gotee), and Grammatical Trend made an appearance in 1999.
