Grischa Lichtenberger

German digital musician and visible musician Grischa Lichtenberger constructs severe, jagged audio sculptures that tend to be sourced from field recordings, turning everyday environmental noises into sharpened digital fragments and rearranging them with pinpoint precision. Like a lot of his Raster-Noton labelmates, Lichtenberger’s intense audio masterpieces are twisted into mutated rhythms that are up to date by techno and electro, also if they’re as well abstract and dispersed to dance to. Lichtenberger debuted in ’09 2009 using the abrasive, jarring ~Treibgut EP, released within Raster-Noton’s Unun 12″ series. 2 yrs afterwards, Spanish label Semantica Information released Lichtenberger’s Graviton – Cx (Rigid Transmitting) EP. Raster-Noton released his debut full-length record, And IV (Inertia), in 2013. La Demeure; Il con a Péril en la Demeure implemented on a single label in 2015. In 2016, Lichtenberger and Jesse Osborne-Lanthier collaborated over the full-length Interactions sur Lettres Mortes, released by Cosmo Rhythmatic. Also, Raster-Noton released Lichtenberger’s triple LP Spielraum/Allgegenwart/Strahlung.
