An acidity jazz music group that concentrates more in jazz than groove-oriented dance music, the Greyboy Allstars came jointly in 1993 when noted rare-groove DJ Greyboy (aka Andreas Stevens) met up with Karl Denson, a saxophone participant who was simply then touring with Lenny Kravitz. The set collaborated on two monitors for Ubiquity Information’ House Cookin’ compilation, and done Greyboy’s 1994 single record for Ubiquity, Freestylin’. After developing their very own label, Greyboy Information, the duo steadily amassed associates for a residence music group — guitarist Michael Andrews (previously with the foundation), bassist Chris Stillwell, drummer Zak Najor, and key pad participant Robert Walter. The Greyboy Allstars toured around the region and in 1995 released their debut record, West Coastline Boogaloo (with efforts from groove tale Fred Wesley). Trips throughout Europe as well as the Areas followed that yr (and a second single recording from Greyboy himself), as well as the group released a concert record, Live, in Apr 1997. 8 weeks later on, the Greyboy Allstars released their second studio room LP, Town Known as Earth, documented with a recently available recruit, guitarist Elgin Recreation area. Aside from Greyboy, Karl Denson and Robert Walter possess each recorded single LPs aswell. As an organization, Greyboy came back in 2007 using what Happened to Tv? and in 2013, the Greyboy Allstars shipped the recording Inland Emperor.
