Greyarea

Despite the fact that the members of Greyarea have their very own history that’s put into NY hardcore, their debut in 1998 released an urgent twist of traveling, melodic pop-punk it doesn’t completely sever using their roots. Comprising ex-Warzone users Vinny Worth (drums) and Jay Lehroff (acoustic guitar), former Dark Train Jack port, Token Access, and In THAT PERSON guitarist Ernie — simply Ernie — (vocals/acoustic guitar), and previous Crown of Thorns bassist Steve O’Brien, Greyarea mixed their influences from the Poor Brains, Small Threat, the Cro-Mags, as well as the Descendants. This mesh would ultimately become showcased in early 1999 as Triumph Information released Greyarea’s self-titled full-length. Their second recording, Fanbelt Algebra, adopted in the summertime of 2000.
