Grey Revell

Rock & move singer/songwriter Gray Revell was raised in LA, but moved to NY in early 1998 searching for the old-time vibe from the Greenwich Town scene. Along with his feeling of classic-style songcraft, Revell started producing a name for himself in the night clubs of Alphabet Town, and created a backing music group called Movie theater Fantastic in early 1999. His 1st recording, Midnight Eye, premiered in the springtime of that yr, going for a stripped-down, bare-bones creation approach along with his punk- and folk-inflected acoustic tunes. His harder-rocking, full-band audio was showcased within the follow-up, Crazy As an Ambush, which made an appearance by the end of 1999. His third recording, 2000’s The Green Teach, combined those two methods, and received his greatest local reviews however; in addition, it helped property him a slot machine in the 1st Coke-sponsored SONGS Awards contest the next year.
