Gregor Samsa certainly are a music group from Richmond, VA, who take their impact from the first British shoegazer picture. (They aren’t to be puzzled having a 1990s Illinois band of the same name.) The outfit was shaped in 2000 by Champ Bennett and Nikki Ruler, and called itself following the primary character from the popular short tale The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. (While Bennett and Ruler continued to be the constants, around 30 other music artists came and proceeded to go over time.) Having a Southern twist that provides a little bit of dark paranoia with their sound, Gregor Samsa produced their documented debut with an eponymous EP released by Iodine Recordings on June 11, 2002. A brief debut recording, 27:36 (called after its size), adopted on March 18, 2003. The band’s second recording, the lengthier 55:12, premiered from the Kora Information on March 7, 2006. ON, MAY 23, 2006, Robotic Empire released the break up EP Crimson Sparowes/Gregor Samsa. Gregor Samsa’s third full-length Compact disc, Rest, premiered on, may 27, 2008. In those days, the lineup contains Bennett and Ruler (who wedded in Sept 2007), William Bennett, Cory Bise, Toby Drivers, and Mia Matsumiya, as well as the group was working out of Brooklyn, NY.
