Created and raised in NJ, Greg Trooper wrote music recorded by famous brands Steve Earle and Vince Gill. In the first ’70s, Trooper still left the folk night clubs of Greenwich Community for the music picture in Austin, Tx before shifting to Lawrence, Kansas, where he got into college and continuing to hone his electric guitar, performing, and songwriting abilities. He came back to NY for the ’80s and area of the ’90s, where he documented his initial two information: We Won’t Dance as well as the critically acclaimed All over the place. The records captured the eye of Earle, who documented Trooper’s “Small Sister.” In the first ’90s, Trooper fulfilled fellow New Jerseyite and ex-E Steet Band bassist Garry Tallent who, like Trooper, would settle in Nashville. Tallent created Trooper’s 1996 record Noises within the Hallway and released it on his D’Ville Information. Popular Demons adopted in 1998. Following the release of this album, he authorized with famed Nashville indie Component Information, which released ALONG Rainfall in 2001. He shifted towards the esteemed Sugars Hill label in 2003 with the wonderful Floating, accompanied by ALLOW IT TO BE Through This Globe in 2005. After time for NY in 2008 and settling in Brooklyn, Trooper released two albums for the 52 Shakes label, 2011’s Upside-Town City and 2013’s Event on Willow Road, and also a previously unreleased 1995 documenting known as The Williamsburg Affair. The concert recording Live in the Rock Room adopted in 2015. Trooper passed away of pancreatic tumor in early 2017.
