An excellent bop participant who finally emerged in records being a leader within the 1990s, Greg Abate had found experience using the Ray Charles Orchestra (beginning in 1973 when he succeeded David “Fathead” Newman) as well as the Artie Shaw music group when it had been headed by clarinetist Dick Johnson during 1985-1987. Located in Rhode Isle, Abate has performed at many celebrations and club schedules, mostly in the East Coastline and in European countries. Although he also has tenor, flute, and soprano, alto is certainly his primary ax. Abate, who considers Charlie Parker, Paul Desmond, and Phil Woods to become among his most significant influences, has documented as a head for Seaside, Candid, and Blue Chip Jazz (Bop Lives!).
