Green Buzzard

An Aussie indie pop device having a penchant for pairing big, Brit-pop hooks with Guided by Voices-esque garage area punk, Sydney-based Green Buzzard’s origins lay in the brand new South Wales town of Oberon. Citing performers like Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., and these Robert Pollard-led GBV simply because influences, the music group burst onto the picture in 2015 using the melody “Zoo Take a flight,” which drew compliment both locally and from music taste-makers like NME, The Guardian, and Q Newspaper. It also captured the interest of cherished Australian indie label I Oh You (Violent Soho, DMA’s, DZ Deathrays), who quickly added the music group with their roster and released their debut EP, Easy Queezy Squeezy, in 2016.
