Great Unwashed

In the wake from the 1982 breakup from the legendary Clean, brothers David and Hamish Kilgour continued writing songs jointly; implementing the tongue-in-cheek name Great Unwashed, they released the 1983 LP REMOVE of Our Thoughts, a assortment of primitive house recordings using a somewhat experimental bent. The record was well received by steadfast Clean supporters, and with bassist Peter Gutteridge in tow, the Kilgour brothers performed a small number of live schedules. A five-track dual single subsequently made an appearance, and in middle-1984 the fantastic Unwashed swelled to a quartet by adding Ross Humphries; nevertheless, by the finish of the entire year, the group disbanded.
