Produced in the past due 2000s, Grasscut, a Brighton, England-based duo made up of significant television and film composer Andrew Phillips and keyboardist/classically educated twin bassist Marcus O’Dair build glitchy, sugary, ambient-steampunk confections that skillfully blur the range between your natural and synthetic worlds. Sketching inspiration from famous brands Kraftwerk, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Devo, and Robert Wyatt, the last mentioned of whom made an appearance as a visitor vocalist over the pair’s second studio room record, Grasscut’s penchant for juggling organic examples and round melodies with pastoral imagery provides drawn evaluations to everyone from Sizzling hot Chip and Planks of Canada to Eluvium and Potential Richter. After putting your signature on with acclaimed United kingdom unbiased label Ninja Listen in 2010, Grasscut released its full-length studio room debut, 1 Inches: ½ Mile, to advantageous testimonials. The duo’s ambitious and atmospheric sophomore outing, Unearth, implemented in 2012.
