Grande Nationals

By no means granted the “picture” position that so a great many other metropolitan areas have earned over time — stalwarts like LA and NY or comers and goers like Seattle, Chicago, and Minneapolis — Detroit was even so a regular contributor towards the purer types of rock and roll and punk (not forgetting its contribution to electronic music, dance, and membership culture), bringing the country — and world — such brands simply because Iggy & the Stooges, Bob Seger, the Romantics, as well as the Light Stripes. Produced in 2003 in the Detroit club rock and roll picture, the Grande Nationals emerged together hoping of being another in-line to carry in the city’s legacy. Made up of Stevie Michael (vocals), Tony Vegas (electric guitar), Scotty Hagen (bass), and Adam Hill (drums), the Grande Nationals produced a name for themselves in early stages by gaining a slot on the 2004 Rock and roll City Music Celebration. The gig resulted in opening slot machine games for Flint, MI, legends Grand Funk Railroad and performances in the 2005 and 2006 editions from the Vans Warped Tour. The group released its 1st recording, Brass Knuckle Heartbreak, in 2006.
