Knoxville, TN funk-rock combo Gran Torino assembled singer/guitarist Chris Ford, guitarist Steve Decker, bassist Todd Overstreet, trumpeters Scott Pederson and Pee-Jay Alexander, trombonist Dexter Murphy, saxophonist Jason Thompson and drummers Whit Pfohl and David Heyer. Producing their debut in nov 1995, Gran Torino released their debut recording Live in the Chameleon Golf club the following yr; in 1997, regional concertgoers voted the music group Knoxville’s greatest homegrown work, additionally snapping up some 12,000 copies from the LP Gran Torino One. Gran Torino Two adopted in 1999, and months later on the group released Live in the Chameleon Golf club. The band released their most ambitious work yet once the Only appeared in Sept 2002.
