Graeme Jefferies

After New Zealand’s This sort of Consequence ceased to exist in 1987, co-leader Jefferies continued focusing on a number of solo recordings on the four-track machine while determining where he’d go next along with his music, similar to his brother and TKP bandmate Peter did at exactly the same time. The outcome was a single record, Messages Through the Cakekitchen, that was released the next year via Soaring Nun but didn’t attain prominence until some years later on with an American re-release. During this time period, Jefferies constructed his group the Cakekitchen, which he since led.
