Having a crystal-clear vocal tone that is weighed against the later Sandy Denny, Washington, D.C.-structured vocalist Grace Griffith has taken the songs from the Celtic Isles to america. A former person in Celtic folk trio, Connemara, Griffith provides continued to broaden on Celtic customs being a soloist. The Washington Region Music Association honored her WAMMIE honours as “Greatest Feminine Vocalist” in both Celtic and Traditional Folk types four consecutive years. Griffith initial attracted interest with Connemara, the trio that she produced in the early-1990s with fiddler Cathy Palmer and Celtic harpist Tracie Dark brown. The group released two unforgettable albums, Beyond the Horizon in 1993 and Siren Tune in 1995. Griffith’s debut record, Every Hue and Tone, was released on her behalf very own label in 1993. 3 years afterwards, eight tracks in the album were coupled with a melody, “Sailing/Boats Are Sailing”, from Connemara’s record Siren Tune, and a fresh saving of Dougie McLean’s tune, “Turning Away”, and released as Sophistication. Guest instrumentalists in the record included Martin Simpson, Zan McLeod and Al Petteway. Minstrel Tune implemented in 2000.
