Gota and The Low Dog

London, England-based jazz funk group Gota And THE REDUCED Pet are led by Japan drummer and multi-instrumentalist Gota Yashiki. A experienced of periods with Simply Crimson, Sinéadvertisement O’Connor and Soul II Soul, he shaped the music group, originally known as Gota AS WELL AS THE Heart Of Yellow metal, with Warren Dowd (vocals), Kenji Jammer (electric guitar) and Yolanda Charles (bass). Somethin’ TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT, their 1994 debut record, featured a nice mixture of funk and spirit influences, with a superior quality of musicianship throughout. Live Wired Electro drew its visual through the 70s/80s electro cross types of hip-hop, with many instrumentals and disorientating free-form jazz sketches like the even more experimental function of Herbie Hancock. It included the one ‘Hey Bulldog’, a uncommon cover version from the Beatles’ tune through the film Yellowish Submarine. Yashiki released his single debut in 1997.
