Gorilla

After floundering under their previous moniker, the Beyond, John Whitby (vocals), Andy Gatford (guitar), Jim Kersey (bass), and Neil Cooper (drums) renamed themselves Gorilla and sought to start out fresh with several mid-’90s EP’s. But neither 1995’s Expanded Play, nor its same-year follow-up, Shutdown, produced more than enough headway to keep carefully the band’s spirits up, plus they quietly give up and faded into storage shortly thereafter.
