Gorilla

Shaped in Derby, Derbyshire, England, in the mid-90s, experimental hard rock-band Gorilla was shaped when the Beyond’s two albums didn’t achieve either solid critical support or healthy sales. John Whitby (vocals), Andy Gatford (electric guitar), Jim Kersey (bass) and Neil Cooper (drums) added violinist Andy Lingard to total the brand new line-up, producing their debut in-may 1995 having a four-track EP, Prolonged Play, on Embryo Information. A natural self-production, it noticed the group receive superb reviews, though it also designated the departure of Kersey, who experienced sick and tired of living around the breadline inside a fringe rock-band.
