Melding lush consumer electronics with gently moody acoustic songwriting, Australia’s Sophie Payten — who reports beneath the name Gordi — started composing her debut EP even though still surviving in her college dorm area in Sydney. A indigenous of the tiny rural city of Canowindra, Gordi ultimately relocated to Sydney for college while also immersing herself on paper and documenting.
