Gord Downie and the Country of Miracles

Best known while the frontman from the Tragically Hip, Gordon Downie is a Canadian vocalist/songwriter who also made his full-length single debut with Coke Machine Shine in 2001 and released follow-up albums periodically. Given birth to on Feb 6, 1964, in Amherstview, Ontario, Canada, he co-founded the Tragically Hip in 1983. In colaboration with MCA, the music group made its industrial recording debut using the Tragically Hip EP in 1987, accompanied by the full-length record Up to Within 1989. The next Tragically Hip record, Street Apples (1991), had taken the music group to the very best from the Canadian graphs. Their following five albums had been also chart-toppers, producing the Tragically Hip perhaps one of the most effective Canadian bands from the ’90s. They gained ten Juno Honours during the 10 years. His third record, The Grand Jump (2010), was billed to Gord Downie & the united states of Miracles. Regardless of the different billing, the record features pretty much the same support music group as Downie’s prior single albums. Made by Chris Walla of Loss of life Cab for Cutie, The Grand Jump was a high Ten hit in the Canadian albums graph and spawned the one “The East Blowing wind.”
