Good Riddance

Great Riddance is really a straight-edge hardcore punk music group from Santa Cruz, CA. Led by vocalist Russ Rankin, the band’s longtime lineup included guitarist Luke Pabich, bassist Chuck Platt, and drummer Sean “SC” Retailers. Though it was shaped in 1986 by ex-Fury 66 member Rankin being a tone of voice for his politics frustrations and protests, the music group didn’t gel until Pabich’s appearance. In 1990, they released their first 7″, Gidget, on Small Deputy Records. Great Riddance was ultimately uncovered by NOFX bassist and Body fat Wreck Chords owner Body fat Mike. After recruiting Platt, the music group produced the effective For God and Nation, that was released in 1995. Their place as a high seller in Fats Wreck’s lineup set up, the music group went on to create the amazing 1996 to push out a Comprehensive Guideline to Moderne Rebellion. Playing from their solid antiwar and straight-edge behaviour, Great Riddance cultivated a big following within the punk community. The following season, the music group released Outward indications of a Leveling Spirit. A divide disc with Eliminate Your Idols preceded an all addresses record, Cover Ups, offering variations of classics from Dark Flag as well as the Psychedelic Furs. Great Riddance came back to all-original materials in 2003 using the furious cultural, politics, and personal hardcore rants of Bound by Ties of Bloodstream and Passion. A two-week Western european tour was finished in early 2006 prior to the band’s seventh full-length, My Republic, made an appearance that summertime, featuring Sellers back again behind the nice Riddance drum package.
