Golden Eagle Gospel Singers

An Alabamian a cappella clothing that afterwards developed root base in Chicago, The Golden Eagles were formed within the ’30s by Thelma Byrd. On an even using the Golden Gate Quartet, their reputation was strongest within the Midwest. Unlike various other groups of time, who were generally man and Baptist, that one was coed and Sanctified. A lot of their music got a fast-paced blues experience, especially on 1937’s “Shade the Bell” and 1940’s “He’s My Rock and roll,” which showcased Hammie Nixon on blues harmonica. They documented for the Decca label.
