Golden Animals

A self-styled retro-indie-folk-psychedelic-blues duo, Golden Animals was originally formed in Brooklyn, NY, by American vocalist/guitarist Tommy Eisner and Swedish-born drummer/backing vocalist Linda Beecroft. But after documenting their initial EP in 2006 in these thick urban environment, the few embarked on a cross-country pilgrimage that brought these to the barren wastes from the California desert (without doubt motivated by among their key affects, Jim Morrison), where they started composing songs while house-sitting for cult shape Gordon Kennedy, writer of the organic living, pre-hippie manual Kids of sunlight. Hence was spawned the Golden Pets’ considerably ’60s infused 2008 debut record, Free YOUR BRAIN and Gain a Pony, that was made by indie rock and roll maven Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Television on the air, Blonde Redhead), and released by Content Parts Recordings.
