Gold Connections

An indie rock and roll task that marries tough D.I.Con. surfaces with basic but artfully smart songs, Gold Contacts may be the brainchild of songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Will Marsh. Marsh used the guitar like a preteen, and started writing tunes when he was 12 years of age. He performed in a few garage area bands in senior high school, and created a flavor for folk music, documenting an acoustic-oriented EP during his older 12 months. After graduating from senior high school, Marsh enrolled at the faculty of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he immersed himself in indie rock and roll and started writing and documenting new tunes. He also became mixed up in college’s college student radio train station, WCWM, where he fulfilled fellow college student Will Toledo in 2014. Marsh exceeded along a few of his music to Toledo, and Toledo loved it plenty of that he asked Marsh to become listed on his band, CARSEAT Headrest. Marsh quickly quit CARSEAT Headrest to create his personal group, Gold Contacts, but not just did Toledo consider it in stride, he became the drummer for Marsh’s fresh band. With time, Toledo became occupied plenty of that he opted to devote his focus on his own music group, but he do help Marsh create a group of recordings at an area studio room, with Toledo generating and playing lots of the devices. The early Platinum Connections tracks quickly proceeded to go into rotation on WCWM, so when CARSEAT Headrest lay out on tour following the release from the recording Teenagers of Style, they required Gold Contacts along as their starting act. In Sept 2015, Gold Contacts released an electronic one, “Popular Fiction,” so when the personnel on the effective indie label Fats Possum Records noticed Marsh’s materials, they immediately agreed upon Gold Cable connections to an archive offer. The label slipped an individual, “Icarus,” in July 2016, and a self-titled EP attracted in the recordings made by Toledo was released in March 2017.
