Gods Little Monkeys

Located in York, England, this indie group performed an assortment of rock and folk. The founder associates had been Jo Swiss (vocals), Jon Townend (vocals/electric guitar), Dave Allen (drums), and Martin Appleby (bass), by adding various key pad players. Initially called Malcolm’s Mom, their very own Eggs Will Walk label released a fantastic 12-inches EP in 1986, which they reworked the original ‘Cruel Mom’. When Appleby departed, the music group recruited Dave Wall structure. Capturing the atmosphere of 80s metropolitan bleakness, with Townend’s oblique, witty politics comments, they documented an record for Particular Delivery, and two even more noise-folk produces for the modernist label Cooking food Vinyl fabric Record s. After Lip, that was remixed against their wants, they disbanded. Townend and Swiss maintained the music group’s name, and continuing to find a US label.
