Glenn Hughes

Starting out because the bassist and lead vocalist for English hard rockers Trapeze (which developed from British soulsters the news headlines) in 1969, Glenn Hughes accomplished his greatest fame because the bass player of Deep Crimson from 1974 before group divided in 1976. Hughes eventually reconvened Trapeze (without records ensuing) and released his single debut, Play Me Out, in 1978. His following effort, documented with guitarist Pat Thrall beneath the name Hughes/Thrall, made an appearance in 1983, and proved helpful within the supergroup Phenomena in 1985. Go back to Crystal Karma (2000) and Building the device (2001) noticed Hughes delivering a set of limited, funk-tinged pop/rock and roll outings, while Tunes in the main element of Rock and roll (2003) drew motivation from your 1970s hard rock and roll — during this time period Hughes collaborated with Joe Lynn Turner on a set of albums beneath the HTP — Hughes-Turner Task — moniker.
