Glenn Astro

Glenn Astro begun to make and DJ at age 13, initially sticking with hip-hop, but as he grew older, he branched out in to the realms of home, spirit, jazz, and disco. Astro ultimately migrated to Berlin, where he set up a close group of close friends — including Potential Graef, Delfonic, and IMYRMIND — who carved a name for themselves simply because electronic magpies, not really ready to operate within preconceived genre limitations. In 2011, Astro released his 1st dance-oriented EP — in cooperation with Lee Webster — Colored Sands/Resort Groove via Big Bait Information. Over another four years, he released an eclectic selection of EPs on numerous labels, including produces on Odd Socks, Package Aus Holz, Wotnot Information, and Tartelet, the final which released his debut full-length, the broken-beat-leaning Throwback LP, in 2015. The same 12 months, Astro released his personal label, Cash $ex Information, alongside good friends Maximum Graef and Delfonic. The label’s 1st launch was a collaborative EP by Astro and Graef. In 2016, the set collaborated again, liberating a dual LP, The Backyard Function Simulator, via Ninja Melody.
