Gitta Alpar

b. Gitta Alpár, 5 Feb 1900, Budapest, Hungary, d. 17 Feb 1991, LA, California, USA. After gathering popularity as an opera vocalist, Alpar produced some films, generally in minor assignments, sometimes within a cameo being a vocalist. In the first 30s we were holding made in European countries, afterwards also in Hollywood. Her movies included Gitta Entdeckt Ihr Herz (1932), Die – Oder Keine (1932, US name: She, Or No one; UK name: THAT ONE Or non-e), The Adores Of Madame Dubarry (1935), Guilty Melody (1936), DUE TO Appreciate (1936), Mr. Stringfellow Says No (1937) as well as the Fire Of New Orleans (1941). In the last mentioned, which starred Marlene Dietrich, Alpar made an appearance as an opera vocalist. In 1974, she made an appearance on tv as herself in V.We.P.-Schaukel.
