Jangle pop collective Young ladies Say Yes is normally spearheaded by drummer/singer/songwriter Jim Huie, who employs a revolving-door cast of collaborators in a way much like Anton Fier’s Golden Palominos. Huie previously performed in Russ Tolman’s support music group, and Tolman subsequently appeared on girls State Yes debut To Children Who State No, that was documented over an interval of many years and lastly released by Paisley Play early 2001. Various other guests included Mitch Easter, Richard McGrath (Accurate Western world), Bobby Sutliff (the Windbreakers), and Steve Almaas (Comsat Angels/Defeat Rodeo), amongst others.
