Girlpope

Since forming in Buffalo, NY, within the mid-’90s, Girlpope has received very much critical acclaim like a top-contending device in the energy pop arena of rock and roll music. Led vocally by guitarist Tag Norris and ably associated with bassist/vocalist Richie Campagna, drummer Brandon Delmont, and newcomer Tommy “A CHILD” Stanford on sax and acoustic guitar, Girlpope was called Best Regional Band from the Buffalo Information within their 1st year like a music group. Their 1st documenting, a 7″ solitary titled I HAD BEEN a Teenage Jesus became a staple on regional radio. After earning a local fight of the rings contest, Girlpope documented their first full-length Compact disc Cheeses of Nazareth on P22/Atom Smash Information. The disc gained nationwide distribution, was named Best Local Recording from the Buffalo Instances, and received worldwide airplay, getting a coveted slot machine in the very best Ten set of Radio Belgium’s year-end polls. All of this attention eventually led to opening for rings Cheap Technique, Shudder to believe, Mercury Rev, and Everclear. Girlpope was selected twice to execute in the International North by Northeast Event in Toronto and keeps the honor to be mostly of the rings selected to try out at Ontario’s Camaraderie Celebration, sharing the costs with Barenaked Females, Billy Bragg, among others. Upon discharge of Girlpope’s second disk, the eight-song EP THE COMPLETE Scene Heading, the music group was named Excellent Rock Band of the entire year by entertainment journal Artvoice, the Buffalo Information, and Buffalo Defeat Music. In 2001, Girlpope matched with labelmates Bobo release a Live on the Mohawk Place and continuing executing live while focusing on their third studio room album.
