Considered a excel at from the troubadors by his contemporaries, Giraut might have been a participant in the 3rd crusade. He composed at least seventy-nine poems a few of that have “issue” like forms with another troubador. A few of his poems had been cited by Dante with least two from the poems reveal involvement in the crusade due to referrals “for” Richard the Lionheart and Count number Ademan V of Limonges. Using the “tensons” he was a troubador who departed from the typical file format of through-composition. At least four of his poems with melodies endure.
