Beneath the name Giraffage, electronic music maker Charlie Yin earned a great deal of acclaim for his dreamy, slightly melancholic sample-based tunes that draw from influences including R&B, hip-hop, J-pop, and ambient music. Located in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Region, Yin originally started producing chiptune-influenced music beneath the name Automatic robot Technology, self-releasing three on-line albums between 2009 and 2011. He started using the moniker Giraffage in 2011, digitally self-releasing an EP (Pretty Items) and a full-length (Comfort and ease), aswell as remixes for his friend Sluggish Magic. Almost instantly, his heavily comprehensive, blissful tunes started stunning a chord with listeners, gaining praise from many blogs and on the web music magazines. Giraffage collaborated with Orlando-based manufacturer XXYYXX about the same called “DESPITE THE FACT THAT,” that was released by French label Kitsun√© Music in early 2012. In early 2013 Giraffage released Requirements, his second full-length record, which furthered his obsession with sensuous R&B and continuing to hone his creation skills. He continuing generating remixes of pop, dance, and R&B strikes, and his 2014 remixes of R.
